TEAM INFORMATION

Francis Racing was formed in 1993 by Fresno businessman Jeff Francis. Francis enrolled in an SCCA Road Racing School at Sears Point Raceway to learn high-speed car control, but adapted to road racing so well he soon entered SCCA sanctioned events, campaigning a BMW 2002 as well as a Renault Sports Racer. Over the years, with help from friend and crew chief John Cook , Francis Racing has accumulated an envious record of event wins and lap records including three SCCA San Francisco Region Improved Touring Championships and 22 class victories to its credit.

RACING HERATIGE

Francis' Racing's heritage is strong, as Jeff's father Ben Francis was instrumental in creating and competing in the Sierra Midget Club during the late 40's and early 50's, which competed in events throughout the Central Valley and tracks such as the famous "Kearney Bowl".

Ben , who recently retired from competitive driving, competed in select SCCA events at Laguna Seca and Sears Point well into his 70's, including an impressive drive in the rain at Thunderhill Raceway Park, and still attends as many Francis Racing events as he can.
